Hedi Slimane presented his 2023 Fall/Winter clothing assemblage for his Celine Men Collection which he aptly dubbed “Paris Syndrome” as the showpiece event was held on February 10, 2023 at the legendary “Le Palace” in La Ville Lumière (City of Light), Paris.
In his youth Hedi spent the majority of his evenings at Le Palace, a place he holds dear to his heart. And according to Slimane, his career really began in the aisles of this historic 17th century theater. Le Palace would later serve as a hotspot for Parisian nightlife with one of the first homosexual nightclubs in Paris. In time Le Palace has evolved into a symbol of freedom and self-expression – something Slimane himself is very passionate about.
Everyone from Yves Saint Laurent to Grace Jones, from Prince to Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger, Karl Lagerfeld, and many more icons of the entertainment and fashion industry had once upon a time frequented the many wild parties and balls that were held at the “Le Palace”.
Hedi’s habitual late night escapades at the “Le Palace” would serve as inspiration for his 2023 Fall/Winter Celine Men’s Collection – “Paris Syndrome”.Â
For his 2023 Fall/Winter collection, Slimane would merge the glitz and razmataz of the late 1990s electroclash with early to mid 2000s rock scene to revive the Indie sleaze fashion style that was prevalent between 2006 and 2012.Â
As was to be expected from the brand whose work consistently appeals to the rock star in all of us–Slimane’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection expanded his signature hedonistic Gay delight.
The Slimane “Paris Syndrome” 2023 Fall collection show kicked off with a light performance that took place on stage.Â
An extended rendition of “Girl” a song from the debut album of the American rock band ‘Suicide’ released way back in 1977 was played out loud in the background.Â

Models walked the runway wearing rock-inspired leather biker jackets and pants, iconic Western-inspired pieces, leopard prints, fringed leather jackets, skater sneakers, studded blouses, sheer materials, denim jackets with cropped waist and wide shoulders, voluminous faux fur elevated overcoat and many more.
Each piece from the Hedi Slimane Celine Men 2023 Fall Collection is embellished with different sizes of rhinestone studs and complemented with low-heel boots, and retro sunglasses.

The Celine Men 2023 Fall/Winter collection show had a large number of attendees, most of whom were mainly Club youngsters who Slimane draws inspiration from.
The 2023 Fall/Winter Collection had in attendance top celebrities like Catherine Deneuve, Wiz Khalifa, Jane Birkin, Camille Razat, Pete Doherty of the English Rock band “The Libertines”, Thai rapper Lisa Manobal of the Blackpink girls group, the whole band of Murder House, Jack White, Delphine Arnault and many others.
With the Paris Syndrome collection, Slimane demonstrated once more that he alone is capable of doing what he does best. Even while his sense of fashion, style and tastes are influenced by the past and real-life experiences, they are absolutely unmatched in authenticity.Â
