The Valentino Black Tie 2023 collection is inspired by self-expression, which is what Pierpaolo Piccioli (the director of the Valentino fashion house) definitely aimed for.
The Italian fashion designer’s goal was to express himself as naturally and personally as possible by doing away with the artifice of created silhouettes.
The event took place on March 6, 2023 at the extensive Hotel Salomon Rothschild in a sensuous dark scenery heightened by an alarming thumping beat with whispering melody.
The models strutted down the staircased runway in different beautiful black tie dresses. The black tie was the only accessory and it appeared over coats, long sleeves, and even layered under grids of red bow ties.
The collection’s luxury bags, and square shaped footwears, created lots of drama on the runway so also were the plumes flowing graciously on all the outfits. The plumes which were on sleeves, pants and lapels evoked an arena of old-world opulence.
