As part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the iconic, ground-breaking manga animation TV series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Jimmy Choo unveiled collections inspired by the colorful costumes of characters in the TV series.
This collaboration is geared towards promoting common goals of daring uniqueness, cultural symbolism, and female empowerment. Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is a Japanese tokusatsu superhero show based on the Sailor Moon manga written by Naoko Takeuchi.
The collection presents Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon’s popular culture impact through Jimmy Choo lens of elegance and beauty, forming an exclusive collaboration between Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and a reputable luxury fashion brand.
A special tribute to the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon special edition boot marked the start of the collaboration. It featured a characteristic Jimmy Choo kick heel, a crescent moon jewel, and brilliant pink Swarovski crystal adornment throughout, uniting these two worlds. The boot made its debut in June 2022 at the Beautiful Guardian Sailor Moon Museum at Tokyo’s Roppongi Museum.
The limited edition consists of five brand-new, made-to-order shoe designs that were inspired by the Sailor Moon Guardian heroines. The colors used for the shoes are pink for Sailor Moon, blue for Sailor Mercury, red for Sailor Mars, green for Sailor Jupiter, and orange for Sailor Venus. The collaboration, however, also features cool bags and an album of songs composed by Honey Dijon that are inspired by Sailor Moon.
