The Yves Saint Laurent 2023 Fall/Winter womenswear collection was nothing short of elegant, which was exactly what Anthony Vaccarello, the French fashion house’s creative director aimed for.
The event was held in a modern ballroom-inspired venue with five golden chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, illuminating the gold runway tapestry creating an ambience of opulence and classic sophistication.
Vaccarello skillfully, confidently, and splendidly explored his concept of elegance in each piece from this 2023 Yves Laurent Fall collection.
The collection featured beautifully tailored oversized suit jackets worn with fitted skirts and accessorized with black-colored sun shades and jewelries.
The jackets and fitted skirts were occasionally exchanged for jumpsuits and satin blouses with long neckties draped over the shoulders or scarfs wrapped and neatly pinned at the front of the neck, respectively.

The 2023 Yves Laurent Fall collection is an astonishment as Vaccarello created the women’s clothing with inspiration from the men’s fashion world.

Oversized outfits are sometimes seen as a blast from the past style of clothing, but this is not the case with Yves Saint Laurent oversized suit jackets, as the angular suit jackets hung perfectly to the models’ shoulders giving them a more conventional look. The jackets of display were of quality tailored cuts (as expected) and featured high padded protruding shoulders and enormous long sleeves.

Apart from Yves Saint Laurent suit jackets donned by the models, the French fashion house’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello also brought out his creativity in these thick-skinned leather jackets. The jackets came in brown and black colors and were complemented with scarves pinned to the neckline.

Some of the models complemented their jackets with slim fitted skirts. The skirt featured a slit at the front and was gorgeously worn with a matching belt.

Another elegant outfit from Yves Saint Laurent’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection is the satin white-colored top which featured long sleeves, a turtleneck and big, angular shoulder pads.
